ACL adds call at PNCT

Port Newark Container Terminal announced that Atlantic Container Line opened calls to its facility Nov. 6.

The Atlantic Companion, one of ACL’s five, combination ro-ro containerships, is making the Port of New York-New Jersey container terminal its port of call for the line's “A “ Service.

The carrier has signed a seven-year agreement with PNCT and will call the terminal twice weekly. The carrier will load and discharge containers only at PNCT. 

The terminal is operated by Ports America, a wholly-owned company of the AIG Global Investment Group.
